International Conformal Coating Workshops at Deurne, the Netherlands, November 16-18 2010
The Netherlands based DIMA Group hosted the inaugural ICCW (International Conformal Coating Workshop) at their Deurne facility, located in the outskirts of Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
This 3 day event combined a full program of technical presentations by experts in the field of conformal coating and related technologies. The seminar program consisted of 7 main tracks; cleaning before coating, design rules for coating, coating material options, applications methods, curing methods, inspection and quality control regimes & rework & repair methodologies.
The conference program was supported by a live ‘hands on’ conformal coating assembly line in DIMA’s demonstration area facility and a table-top exhibition. More than 150 visiting delegates from no fewer than 18 countries took advantage of the opportunity to learn from many experts in their respective disciplines in an educational and relaxed environment.
The supply chain was represented by well known companies in this highly topical subject including; DIMA Group, DCT, Electrolube, Fischer, GEN 3, Henkel, Humiseal, IVT, KOLB, Kyzen, M.B Tech, Nutek, Peters and Zestron.

It was a big challenge organising this workshop, but with the support of all the other participating companies we managed to make this into a very successful event. It was very stimulating to hear only positive remarks and receiving compliments from the visitors. Especially the live assembly line was judged very positively. Also the fact that competitive companies joined hands in mutual technical presentations has been an unique part within the event. This has been putting the emphasis on the technical content of the workshop instead of being just another commercial showcase. We will definitely use this concept for future events.
